Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
announced today that the United States
Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has
approved Spiriva® HandiHaler® (tiotropium
bromide inhalation powder) for the
long-term, once-daily maintenance treatment
of bronchospasm associated with
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
